Fresno State under investigation as two players allegedly bet on own games

As per reports, multiple players have been suspended for betting on their own games.

The Fresno State basketball program suffered a major shocking news. As per reports, multiple players have been suspended for betting on their own games.

Fresno State opened investigation into this matter and NCAA has also joined in, according to ESPN. Three basketball players in Jalen Weaver, Mykell Robinson and Zaron Collins are under investigation and have been removed from the team.

According to reports, Robinson and Weaver were betting on player prop bets involving the Bulldogs, under on points total and rebounds. In a statement released by Fresno State, “the two are “being withheld from competition as the university reviews an eligibility matter.”

According to Alec Nolan, Collins was allegedly betting on other sports and not Bulldogs games and his status with the team is still unclear. However, Weaver and Robinson have already been removed from the team.

The Bulldogs are 5-23 for the season and sit last in their conference. They have suffered record losses in their history in both conference and overall record and also created the longest losing streak in history with their 10th straight loss.

Jaron Collins was the team’s best player and averaged 12.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game. His counterparts, Jalen Weaver averaged 12.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game and led the team in scoring. Mykell Robinson has not played since January 12 and averaged 10.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game before the injury.
