Scuderia Ferrari team principal promises big dreams ahead of the Chinese Grand Prix
Ferrari started the 2025 Formula Australian Grand Prix on a high note. After all, they had finally secured the services of the formidable Lewis Hamilton. The results achieved during early testing and free practice sessions built up the hopes of every Ferrari fan. However, a lackluster qualifying session started the usual antics of Ferrari’s championship struggles. After the race ended, Ferrari had the misfortune of being the lowest point scoring team in the current constructor standings. Ironically, except the top two teams, the other teams only had one driver finishing the race. Ferrari couldn’t manage to defeat them as a team even with Hamilton and Leclerc on their side.
The entire Formula 1 paddock is full of surprises and joyous celebrations due to the Australian Grand Prix results. It’s only the Prancing Horses who have a grave future ahead, foreshadowed by their current performance. Ferrari might need to rethink and rework their decisions. But, their team principal has already moved on. He had some strong words ahead of the Chinese Grand Prix.
The entire Ferrari camp, including their drivers were in a dejected state after the first race. Charles Leclerc confessed that they were on the backfoot after witnessing the race pace. As for Lewis Hamilton, the race was much more depressing than his previous three years at Mercedes. To make matters worse, Ferrari and their team radio conversations, made them a laughing stock in Formula 1 paddock. Charles Leclerc got the opportunity to add some “words of wisdom“. On the other hand, Lewis Hamilton was being taught how to drive his car during the race even after constant refusals.
Charles Leclerc couldn't find many positives after finishing eighth on a "disappointing" first weekend of the season 😒

It seems like Fred Vasseur is least bit shaken by these ridiculous results. He has promised that Ferrari are going to restart. That the fans are going to witness the “real Ferrari” in China. He has assured that the team in going to start from scratch. According to Vasseur,
“The Chinese track has completely different characteristics to Albert Park and with this being the first sprint weekend of the season, it also means there are more points up for grabs.”
The 2025 Formula 1 season is Ferrari’s worst start to the championship after a pointless season opener in 2009. If they are indeed to going to start from scratch, they will have to reconsider some serious issues. Do you think Ferrari is trying to bluff its way out of the situation? Or will we really see the Rosso Corsa colors adorning the podium in Shanghai?
nhl I work as a Writer at The Playoffs specialising in NHL, Formula 1 and Motorsports. I got into online journalism a couple of years ago. I used to be an intern for a website managing their Formula 1 content and then I served an entire year as a contractual writer.
Read moreFor me, online journalism was not something I expected. I am a Mechanical Engineer aiming to join Formula 1. At the same time, I am a poet, writer and my university’s Literary Club Lead. One day the dots connected together and I realised I could use my writing skills to convey my passion for Motorsports.
The biggest aspects I love about my role are- Scuderia Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel. When I am not fawning over them I like to convey my opinions to the public, in a manner which helps them gain a new point of view. I love helping people explore new ideas about Motorsports and obviously get recognised as a writer all over the world.
Message to Readers: I promise you one day you’ll see me managing operations on track with a Formula 1 team ; )
