Having previously featured in the Top-10, Emma Raducanu has struggled with form and consistency. The 22-year-old won the US Open in 2021 – becoming the first qualifier to win a singles Grand Slam in the Open Era – that too without dropping a set. In 2025, Raducanu reached the quarterfinals in Miami and Queen’s Club. She has beaten two big names in Marta Kostyuk and Naomi Osaka to reach the last eight at the American capital, and will be desperate to reach a maiden semifinal this year.

Maria Sakkari delivered an impeccable 84% first serves in against No. 2 seed Emma Navarro on Wednesday. She also beat British No. 1 Katie Boulter in Round-1, marking a terrific return to form. A former semifinalist at the French Open and US Open, the Athens-born star will play just her second quarterfinal of the season on Friday. Alongside Stefanos Tsitsipas, she has been the highest ranked Greek player in the history of the sport (World No. 3).
