The former Wimbledon champion, Elena Rybakina will take on 23rd-seed Clara Tauson in the crucial third-round matchup of the 2025 Wimbledon championship. Clara Tauson is playing the third round for the first time in Wimbledon. She came from behind to beat Watson in first round and saved set points in second round to overcome Kalinskaya. Tauson hasn’t won back-to-back matches since her runner-up finish in February at Dubai. The Danish ace is 1-4 in Grand Slam third rounds. The pressure will be huge on Clara Tauson ahead of her biggest matchup of the season.
Elena Rybakina holds the 2-0 lead over Denmark’s Clara Tauson in the WTA meetings. Last year, they locked horns in the Miami Masters and the Kazakh ace secured a victory after losing the opening set.

Elena Rybakina counters the opponent her aggressive first-strike game and grass court suits her style. Tauson will struggle in long rallies and grass will be a big test. The Danish ace struggle to win points on return and Rybakina has heavy baseline power. Elena might start slow but she has capability to turn the table like she did in Miami last year against Tauson.
Prediction: Rybakina to win in straight sets.
At 2/9, Rybakina is the clear favorite, with Wimbledon form and H2H edge over the Danish rival. Tauson, priced at 15/4, offers versatility but will need to exceed expectations to pull off a victory.
