Demin made history as the first-ever five-star recruit in BYU Cougars’ program, a rare feat for any international talent. In his freshman year, the 19-year-old put up 10.6 points, 5.5 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game, showing all-around promise. He shot 41.2 percent from the field.
