Moore was always going to bring in someone he trusts. He’s calling the plays, but Nussmeier? He’s the guy making sure it all runs smoothly. Kellen Moore and Doug Nussmeier go way back. They both started in Dallas under Jason Garrett. When Mike McCarthy took over, they both stayed. When Moore got promoted to offensive coordinator, Nussmeier became the quarterbacks coach. That’s been the arrangement ever since.
