Both Shnaider and Frech struggled to get the winning momentum this year after breakthrough performances last year.
World No. 12 and the fifth-seeded, Diana Shnaider will kick of her campaign in the 2025 Queen’s Club Championship with a round of 32 clash against Magdalena Frech of Poland. Shnaider made into the semifinals of the Roland Garros in the doubles event but faced second-round exit in the singles event. Magdalena Frech also had a second-round exit in the French Open and the Polish ace would look to make an impact ahead of the Wimbledon.
Diana Shnaider recently made into the semifinals of the women’s doubles event in the 2025 French Open alongside her partner, Mirra Andreeva but couldn’t sustain longer in singles. The Russian ace is ranked inside the top 15 and had a roller-coaster ride in 2025. She reached the quarterfinals in the Rome Masters and made into the fourth round of the Madrid Open this year. Meanwhile, she couldn’t replicate 2024 when she won four titles, including the Bad Homburg title.

Magdalena Frech had a same story in the French Open and her campaign ended in the second round. The Polish ace has posted a 7-14 record in 2025 and ranked inside top 30. She hasn’t won consecutive matches in any of her last 11 competition so form is major concern. Even this year, she had a long six-match losing streak. Over the last two years, she reached quarterfinals three times in grass-court tournaments. Compare to the last year when she won her first WTA Tour title at Guadalajara, this year has been disappointing for Frech.
Diana Shnaider takes clear edge against Magdalena Frech in the WTA Head-to-Head meetings. The Russian ace leads Frech 2–1 with both wins coming in dominant way in Dubai and Toronto. She thrashed the Polish ace 6-2, 6-2 earlier this year.

Both Shnaider and Frech struggled to get the winning momentum this year after breakthrough performances last year. However, Shnaider improved her game skill specially after getting into the doubles with Andreeva. The Russian ace has a big edge in the matchup due to her form, H2H records and firepower. Her high-tempo baseline game and previous Grand Slam run will help to counter Frech. Even Shnaider drops the opening set, she will comeback to take the match.
Prediction: Shnaider to win in straight sets.
As per the BetMGM, Diana Shnaider is likely to go all the way to win this matchup against Magdalena Frech. The Russian ace will finish the match in straight sets and has a 80% chances to win the opening set.
