PSG winger Desire Doue put up a dominating display of flair and freedom in the UCL Finals. Bagging a brace and an assist against Inter Milan in Munich, the 19-year-old also registered himself in the history books of European stages on multiple pages. 

Scoring the second goal for PSG in the first half, Doue set the pace up for which turned out to be a 5-0 massacre. Helping his club to their first-ever UCL Trophy, Doue will be remembered as the youngster who turned the UCL 2025 finals on his head.

Scoring two goals and providing an assist, Doue now has the most goal contributions in UCL finals as a teenager. He is also the first player to score an assist in a Champions League Final Debut.

A Star is Born: Doué’s Impact on PSG’s Maiden UCL Title

Doue appeared in 15 games and started eight games for PSG in the UCL 2024/25 campaign. Scoring five goals and providing three assists, the 19-year-old is PSG’s second-highest scorer in their title-winning campaign. Doue is also so the third-highest goal-contributor for PSG in UCL 2024/25 campaign. 

Doue also scored a crucial goal against Aston Villa in the quarter-finals of the UCL. Moreover, picking up the Player of the Match trophy in the UCL finals, Doue is the first teenager to win the Man of the Match award in a UEFA Champions League final.

From Doué to Mayulu: UCL Final Records Fall in PSG’s 5-0 Glory

Doue set the record of being the youngest player to score in a UCL final at 19 years and 362 days by scoring PSG’s second goal in the 20th minute. However, he didn’t last long at the gold position as his fellow teammate and PSG graduate Senny Mayulu, broke this record later in the same match by scoring PSG’s fifth goal in the 87th minute at the age of 19 years and 14 days.

It was more than just a victorious night for PSG in Munich. Sending a message to the football world with a young and hungry side, the Parisians have lifted the European stage curse from themselves.
