The Denver Nuggets will take on the Oklahoma City Thunder for Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals. The Nuggets are currently leading the series with a 2-1 lead over the Thunder, and they have an opportunity to take a commanding 3-1 lead, at their home in Denver. So the question to be asked is, can the Thunder tie the series up 2-2 or will the Nuggets take a 3-1 lead? Let’s find out more.

Denver Nuggets’ Preview

After a very disappointing effort in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals, the Nuggets bounced back in Game 3 and defended their home court. Instead of another Nikola Jokic’s heroics, all the Nuggets’ starters combined for a total of 98 points, which was the reason why they won the game. Michael Porter Jr., who’s had somewhat of a disappointing playoff run dropped 21 points, which helped the Nuggets get the win. To win Game 4, the Nuggets will need all of their starters to contribute, and their guard Russell Westbrook needs to continue to be the energizer bunny off the bench, which has been the difference so far in the series.

Oklahoma City Thunder’s Preview

The OKC Thunder heavily struggled last game as they shot 38.5 from the field as a team. They shot an abysmal 25.7 percent from beyond the arc, converting on only 9 of their 35 three point attempt. Game 4 will be a must-win game for the Thunder, because if they lose, the Nuggets will take a commanding 3-1 lead, and only 13 teams in the NBA have been able to come back from a 3-1 deficit, which is something that is not easy to do. If the Thunder ended up losing the series, yet again, this year, there will be a lot of questions for this group, and especially for GM Sam Presti, who hasn’t won a single NBA championship ring, despite drafting and trading for the a lot of star players in his 18 years with the Thunder.
