However, this isn’t enough to eclipse her impressive clay court run with finals in Madrid, Rome, and Roland Garros, where she clinched her second Grand Slam title with a remarkable comeback against Aryna Sabalenka. With her winning nearly 70% of first-serve points, dominating close to 49% of return points, firing 125 aces, and converting over half of her break point chances across 44 matches.

On the other side, Wang’s year has been a rollercoaster so far. Her standout moment was reaching the Berlin final, where she pushed Marketa Vondrousova to three sets. She also reached semifinals in Singapore and Prague and made a solid quarterfinal showing in Parma. Wang holds a 67.9% first-serve win rate in 31 matches but lags behind Gauff in return and breakpoint stats, sitting at 40.5% and 41.8%, respectively.
