Natasha Bose

Chiefs Raiders Black Friday showdown stats

The Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders will face off this Black Friday in one of the NFL’s most storied rivalries. The Chiefs, sitting at an impressive 10-1 record, lead the AFC West, while the Raiders, at 2-9, are tied for the league’s worst record. As head coach Antonio Pierce bluntly put it, “best team in football against the worst team in football.”

Chiefs-Raiders all-time record

Over 131 meetings, the Chiefs lead the series with 74 wins, 55 losses, and 2 ties. Their first encounter was on September 16, 1960, when the then-Dallas Texans defeated the Raiders 34-16.

The Raiders’ longest winning streak against the Chiefs is seven games (1975-1978), while the Chiefs’ longest is nine games (2003-2007). In the past ten matchups, the Chiefs have dominated with an 8-2 record.

Raiders HC Antonio Pierce calls Black Friday game ‘best team in football vs. worst team’

Antonio Pierce is clear-eyed about the challenge his team faces. “Let’s change the narrative. Let’s go out there and make it a dogfight… Black Friday. Let’s create a little chaos and get back to Raider football,” Pierce stated ahead of the matchup.

Despite their struggles, the Raiders have found ways to surprise Kansas City, including a shocking Christmas Day win at Arrowhead last season. That loss lit a fire under the Chiefs, who went undefeated after that game en route to another Super Bowl title.
