Andy Reid has been winning his entire life as an NFL head coach and has continued to do so even after 26 years of coaching! Sure he did not win a championship while coaching the Philadelphia Eagles but is now on the verge of winning three-straight Super Bowl titles. He started his coaching career with the Eagles in 1999 and coached the team for 14 seasons.
Coach Reid aka ‘Big Red’ was fired by the Eagles’ owner Jeffrey Lurie in 2012. The Eagles had won only 12 games out of the 20 games played in two seasons, which eventually led to the firing.
While coaching the Eagles, Reid had not won a Super Bowl yet. The furthest he had been to, was the Super Bowl in 2004. Right after Reid was fired by the Eagles, the Chiefs gave Reid a chance and the rest is history. As soon as coach Reid came in the Chiefs went from an awful 2-14 record in 2012 to a winning record of 11-5 in 2013.
In fact, it has been 12 years since Andy Reid took over as the head coach for the Chiefs and they have won double-digit games every season except in 2014. His first championships came in 2019 after Patrick Mahomes had an outstanding season winning the MVP.
In 12 seasons as a head coach, Reid has led the Chiefs to 11 playoff appearances. He has also helped the Chiefs win 9 divisional titles in a row and 7 consecutive AFC Conference championship games. He has made the Super Bowl 5 times in his career and has won three of them so far. His biggest achievement, however, is coaching Patrick Mahomes to become the best quarterback in the NFL.

In our opinion, Reid can most certainly catchup to Bill Belichick. This is not to disregard Belichick in any way. As Belichick, Brady, and the Patriots were one of the most dominating franchises to ever exist. However, Andy Reid is slowly, but surely, catching up. Reid is the winningest coach in Eagles’ history despite not winning a Super Bowl. Reid coached in 240 games for the Eagles and won 140 of them. He also led the Eagles to a Super Bowl appearance, 6 NFC East titles, and 9 playoff appearances.
Reid is also the winningest coach in Chiefs history. He has won 161 of the 221 games played, while only losing 60 games so far. Reid also has 9 AFC west titles, 11 playoff appearances, 5 Super Bowl appearances, and 3 Super Bowls.
So with 301 NFL career wins, 6 Super Bowl appearances, 3x Super Bowl rings and 7-straight AFC title games, we might need to talk about who the greatest coach of all time is.
Bill Belichick has 333 total wins as a head coach for the New England Patriots. He coached the Patriots for 23 seasons and has 12 Super bowl appearances. Belichick appeared in 9 Super Bowls as the head coach and won 6 titles with the team.
As for who’s the winningest coach of all time, it’s not Belichick nor is it Reid. It is Don Shula who has the most number of wins so far with 347 wins. Belichick is a close second with 333. If Reid continues to coach, he could beat Don Shula’s record to be the winningest coach of all time!
