The Blues Beat PSG 3–0 To Complete a Unique International Clean Sweep.
Chelsea have etched their name in football history once again as they claimed the FIFA Club World Cup title after defeating PSG 3-0. This win not only made them the first champions of the tournament’s expanded format but it also cemented their status as the most successful club of the 21st century.
Since the early 2000s, the West London side has been thoroughly consistent at the big stage. Across all competitions, Chelsea have reached over 30 major finals in just two decades. They’ve won an array of domestic and international honours winning several of those finals.
Their domestic dominance includes 11 FA Cup finals and six League Cup finals. Meanwhile on the European stage, they’ve secured two Champions League crowns, two Europa League titles, and most recently, the 2025 Europa Conference League. Chelsea now have an unmatched tally of 21 major trophies since 2000.
This surpasses domestic rivals Manchester City (20), Manchester United (18), and Liverpool (17). Chelsea has to wait some time to lift some trophies. However, with their Conference League trophy win last season, the Blues leapfrogged Man City in these standings with 21 trophies.

The Blues’ dominance comes from their record of winning seven of eight international finals since 2012. The win is also a statement of intent under Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital’s ownership, as Chelsea will keep looking to return to the summit of world football after a transitional period.
More than just finalists or contenders, Chelsea have become specialists in major events. They now hold the ability to thrive in high-stakes scenarios. Not only the Blues continue to add to their trophy cabinet, but also are extending their legacy.
