CeeDee Lamb could be back for week 7 against the Commanders!
Heading into week 7 of the NFL season, the Dallas Cowboys have received positive news with respect to wide receiver CeeDee Lamb’s injury status.
Lamb, one of the top receivers in the game today, suffered an ankle injury in the Cowboys’ week 3 matchup against the Chicago Bears and has missed the next 3 games.
However, things have been trending in the right direction, and the team’s owner, Jerry Jones, believes their star receiver could be back for the next game against the Commanders.
According to Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, CeeDee Lamb is trending in the direction of making his return for the week 7 game against divisional rivals, the Washington Commanders. That’s not all, Jones also believes that another receiver, KaVontae Turpin, and right guard Tyler Booker are also in line to play this upcoming week.

While speaking on 105.3 The Fan, Jones was quite optimistic about the trio’s chances of playing in week 7. As per ESPN’s Todd Archer, Jones had the following to say about the injury updates.
“Without being doctor here and without the benefit of a week of practice, we are thumbs up on all. It’s looking good but that’s just it, you gotta have a week of practice.”
Lamb was seen working out to a degree on the sidelines all of last week, although he did not partake in the team’s practice sessions. Currently, he is still listed as ‘questionable’ on the Cowboys’ injury report, but the team will put out the first official injury report later today, which should give us a better idea of his status.
The loss of Lamb would have been a devastating blow for the Cowboys, but in his absence, WR2 George Pickens has picked up his production and has quickly established chemistry with quarterback Dak Prescott.
In the past 3 games that Lamb has missed, Pickens has 359 receiving yards from 19 receptions and 4 touchdowns. This is exactly the type of production the Cowboys expected from Pickens after signing him in the offseason.

Now, how the Cowboys’ offense will function once Lamb returns is the next big question. If these two can work well in tandem, Prescott will be spoilt for choice, and Dallas’ offense will reach greater heights.
The only problem, though, is the lackluster defense that is just not getting things done. The loss of Micah Parsons has been huge, but even then, this defense has taken quite a beating.

After starting my professional career as a French-to-English translator, working as a content writer is a new adventure for me. I started out in the sports media field for two main reasons: my love for sports in general, especially the NFL, NBA, and Tennis, as well as my passion for writing. The best part of this job is that I get to write a variety of pieces with the freedom to explore content from various angles. It also enables me to stay up to date with the sporting world, which otherwise can be difficult to do in the day-to-day grind. In a world full of chaos, sports unite and entertain like nothing else!
