Cam Ward Names His Top 5 QBs in the NFL Ahead of the NFL Combine!

Cam Ward is widely regarded as one of the top prospects in the 2025 NFL draft class, and has the skills and the motor to play at the next level in the NFL. He started his college football career playing for Incarnate Word Cardinals for 2020 and 2021. He then moved on to Washington State and played for two more years in 2022 and 2023, before moving to Miami in 2024.

While Ward played great in all of his seasons, his performance during the 2024 college football season with the Hurricanes, solidified his reputation as an elite talent amongst his peers in the 2025 draft class.

Ward posted 4313 passing yards, 39 passing touchdowns, on only 7 interceptions, and had a pass completion percentage of 67.2. His performance in the 2024 season earned him All-American honors and also finished 4th in Heisman Trophy race.

Cam Ward’s Top 5 Quarterbacks List

Cam Ward excluded himself from the list, keeping in mind that he is not the NFL yet. His top-5 quarterback list includes; Jayden Daniels, Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts, Josh Allen, and Lamar Jackson, in no particular order.

Will Cam Ward participate in the NFL Combine?

Unfortunately Ward will not be participating in the NFL Combine and will rather be opting for private Pro Days. When Ward was asked to justify his absence from the Combine, he said “I won’t be throwing. I just think five years of film says everything I can do.” Ward played for a total of 5 seasons with 3 different teams, and had 57 starts. However, he does plan to throw at Miami’s pro day on March 24th.

Even though Ward is not participating in the NFL Combine, he was available for the media to ask some questions. One of the questions were who he believed was the top 5 quarterbacks in the NFL today and this was his answer.

Ward is one of the best QB prospects in the 2025 NFL draft class and looked unstoppable on the field at times. He led the country in terms of passing touchdowns, and finished second in passing yards. He also finished second in QB rating with 88.7. According to various sources, Ward could end up being the top QB in the 2025 draft and is also a potential number one pick.
