The Fever will begin their 2025 regular season by clashing against Chicago on May 17.
The Indiana Fever, who finished third in the Eastern Conference with a 20-20 record in 2024, is gearing up for 2025 season. Caitlin Clark, the reigning Rookie of the Year, is all set to enter her sophomore season, and even though there are a few weeks left for it to begin, the odds have already shown their favorites.
Clark is leading odds across various bookmakers, including BetMGM to be adjudged MVP in 2025. With the highest-favorable odds of +195, Clark ahead of reigning MVP A’Ja Wilson, who herself had an unreal season in 2024. Wilson sits second on the list at +210 odds. Apart from it, the former Iowa star is favourite to win WNBA Most Improved Player of the Year at odds of +400. The 23-year-old is also likely to top the regular season assists per game leader with the odds of -500 her performance in the previous season.
Notably, the Fever acquired Clark as the first overall draft pick, and the rest is history. Clark wreaked havoc in the league and is inarguably one of the biggest stars in the league. As the season ended, she led the charts in assists per game as well as 3PM. Not only this, but she also made it to the All-WNBA first-team selection and finished fourth in MVP ladder.
She was trailing winner A’ja Wilson, Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier, and New York Liberty forward Breanna Stewart in MVP voting. However, following a huge off-season, the Fever star is a favorite to win multiple titles and continue on-court destruction.

The Fever, who reached the 20-win mark for the first time since 2015 last season and earned their first playoff qualification since 2016, have been backed by the bettors to win the championship in 2025. According to multiple bookmakers, including ESPN BET, the Fever are plus 350 to win the title. They are tied with the Las Vegas Aces for the second best odds, trailing only the reigning champions, New York Liberty with -250.
In 2024, New York won the trophy by defeating Minnesota Lynx, who sit at fourth with plus 400 to win the championship this season, per the bookmaker.
As of the Fever, the franchise will head into the 2025 season with multiple transactions, including acquiring DeWanna Bonner, Natasha Howard and Sophie Cunningham. Moreover, they have two Rookie of the Years (Clark and Aliyah Boston) with them in the roster. The Fever picked Makayla Timpson, Bree Hall and Yvonne Ejim in the 2025 draft and they would be expected to team up with the other players and push the team towards a championship this year.
