This weekend sees Burnley return to Turf Moor. They will be hosting league-leaders Arsenal in a clash that pits survival ambitions against title aspirations. Burnley have rediscovered a spark after recent wins, but face a Gunners side operating at full throttle.
Arsenal are arriving with a flawless recent record and an intimidating defensive record. Their dominance over promoted sides and strong form mean that the Clarets will have to be near-perfect to inflict an upset at home this Saturday.

Burnley will again be without the services of key defenders Jordan Beyer, Connor Roberts and Zeki Amdouni. The trio will remain sidelined until later in the season. However, midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu is available after a knock.
In the other hand, left-back Quilindschy Hartman continues to be an attacking outlet. He has already provided four assists this term, all on the road. Manager Scott Parker is expected to stick with his recent momentum-driven selection following back-to-back wins.

Arsenal will be travelling without Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz, Martin Odegaard and Noni Madueke. The quartet are continuing their recoveries, while William Saliba and Gabriel Martinelli are doubts after recent knocks.
Declan Rice and Riccardo Calafiori appear to be fit. That will give manager Mikel Arteta a near-full complement in midfield and defence. Leandro Trossard is likely to start in attack should Martinelli miss out.
Arsenal have built their campaign on tight defensive performances. They’ve conceded only three goals in nine league matches and kept six clean sheets in a row. Meanwhile, Burnley’s league games at home this season have consistently been low-scoring affairs. It suggestes that they adopt a more cautious stance in front of their fans. Given the Gunners’ control and Clarets’ defensive posture, total goals under 2.5 seems probable.
Viktor Gyokeres is currently the highest goalscorer for Arsenal. The Gunners’ dominance in recent fixtures means the chances for Gyokeres to capitalise on recently-promoted Burnley are high. His inclusion in attack alongside Saka and Trossard gives him a good chance to get on the scoresheet against a Burnley defence that, while improved, has shown vulnerabilities in recent matches.
Declan Rice has become a central figure in Arsenal’s build-up play. He is capable of breaking lines and contributing offensively as well as defensively. Burnley are likely to sit deep and invite possession. Hence, Rice’s role in initiating attacks and his ability to arrive in advanced positions makes the odds of him either scoring or assisting an attractive prospect. His recent influence in midfield phases suggests he could be the creator or finisher in this match.
| Picks | Moneyline |
| Viktor Gyokeres to score first | +320 |
| Bukayo Saka to score anytime | +145 |
| Declan Rice to assist anytime | +260 |
| Eberechi Eze to either score or assist | -120 |

Burnley’s recent wins have given them momentum. However, their defensive inconsistencies and historical record against Arsenal work strongly against them. The Gunners have cleaned up matches with minimal margin. But their head-to-head dominance shows the gulf in class.
Given Arsenal’s defensive fortress and efficient attack, a 2-0 away win appears the most likely outcome. Burnley may hold firm for long spells, but ultimately Arsenal should convert their chances and maintain a clean sheet.
The Burnley vs Arsenal Premier League clash is on November 1, 2025, at the Turf Moor Stadium, Lancashire, England.
Arsenal are favorites to win with a moneyline at -375, to draw at +475 and for Burnley to win at +1000.
