The Boston Bruins are set to close out their regular season with a touch of youth and excitement as two rookies, John Farinacci and Frederic Brunet, have been called up from the AHL’s Providence Bruins. With the final game of the season on Tuesday night against the New Jersey Devils at TD Garden, both players are on the verge of making their long-awaited NHL debuts.

For John Farinacci, the journey to this moment has been one of steady progress. A 24-year-old center and former Harvard standout, Farinacci signed with Boston as a college free agent back in 2023. Since then, he’s spent the last two seasons in Providence, working hard to develop his game. On the blue line, 21-year-old Frederic Brunet is another young talent Boston fans will want to keep an eye on. Drafted in the fifth round of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, the left-shot defenseman has quietly risen through the ranks. Brunet also spent the last two seasons with Providence, gaining valuable experience and refining his defensive instincts. To make room for the pair, the Bruins sent forward Riley Duran and defenseman Michael Callahan back to the AHL.
