Despite a challenging 2024 season, Brian Daboll will remain as the franchise head coach next season

The New York Giants have confirmed that Brian Daboll will continue as their head coach despite a challenging 2024 season.

Brian Daboll is staying with the New York Giants! Despite the franchise enduring a difficult 2024 season with only three wins, the Giants’ ownership announced on Monday their decision to retain both head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen.

This decision comes after the Giants concluded their season with a loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

Previously the offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills, where he played a key role in developing quarterback Josh Allen, Daboll joined the Giants at the start of the 2022 season.

His inaugural season was filled with promise, as the Giants made a playoff run and Daboll earned the 2022 NFL Coach of the Year award. Unfortunately, the team has struggled significantly since, sliding down the standings over the past two seasons.

Nevertheless, the Giants’ ownership has opted to give Daboll another opportunity to turn things around.

Daboll will now enter his fourth consecutive season as head coach of the Giants. The franchise is looking to rebuild around the emerging talent of young wide receiver Malik Nabers and potentially select a new quarterback in the 2025 draft.

This upcoming season could very well be Daboll’s last chance to prove himself in New York.
