‘He Is My Number One, He Won Against the G.O.A.T’- Brandon Graham Praises QB Jalen Hurts for Super Bowl Triumph Over the Chiefs

The Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl in the most dominant fashion against the Kansas City Chiefs, After the Super Bowl victory, DE Brandon Graham has now officially retired from the NFL. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles his entire 15-year NFL career and was part of the both the Super Bowl wins in 2017 and 2024 seasons. He’s a one-time Pro Bowler, who was also named to the All-Pro Second team, and is one of the only players in the NFL who won against both Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes in the Super Bowl.

Speaking about Super Bowls, Brandon Graham was recently asked about where he thinks, Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, ranks amongst current quarterbacks in the NFL and here is what he had to say.

Graham Put Jalen Hurts Ahead of Patrick Mahomes for the Best QB in the NFL

Graham was asked by Kay Adams in her show, Up and Adams, about if Jalen Hurts is a top-5 quarterback in the NFL currently, and this is what he said;

“Jalen Hurts in my book is a top five quarterback.” Graham continued, “Like he won a Super Bowl, he automatically goes up there. All year. All Playoffs. He the one that grabbed the ball first. He has to hand it off. His mechanics. All the little things that you don’t think about that just clockwork has to go right. How many times have quarterbacks fumbled the ball in a big moment and then bam, it’s game over.”

“People don’t give him credit for those little things but all that little stuff matter and he practice that stuff every day. He’s my number one because you know, him… I ain’t playing for them other quarterbacks. All I know is him. And we won a championship. And I’m gonna go just straight there for this year. He gotta be number one… He won against the G.O.A.T. (Patrick Mahomes), It wasn’t like he wasn’t there.”

Jalen Hurts Willed His Way Through the Chiefs in Order To Win Super Bowl LIX

Jalen Hurts absolutely stunned Andy Reid and the rest of the Chiefs in the Super Bowl, and there was no slowing down the Eagles on that day. Hurts and the Eagles were much more determined and focused than the Chiefs, and after their disappointing loss against the Chiefs in the 2022-23 Super Bowl, Hurts and the his team came out with vengeance, and avenged their previous Super Bowl loss.

Whereas, when it comes to the best QB debate in the NFL currently, we believe that whoever takes home the Super Bowl trophy, is the best QB in the league, at least for that season. Mahomes and the Chiefs were en route to winning their third-straight Super Bowl trophy, which no team in the history of the NFL had done before. However, thanks to the Eagles and Hurts, that record will remain unbroken for now.
