Bradley Beal injury: What happened to Bradley Beal? Latest injury update on Phoenix Suns’ star guard?

Bradley Beal was ruled out of Clippers game.

The Phoenix Suns bounced back from their previous defeat and took down the LA Clippers 119-117 in a thrilling encounter on Tuesday, March 4. The game saw Kevin Durant leading the side with 34 points, seven rebounds and four assists to help them record their 29th win of the season.

However, the Suns’ victory was marred by a setback in the form of Bradley Beal’s calf soreness. Beal complained of calf tightness during the second quarter and was forced to walk out. Though Beal was expected to make a comeback, the Suns ruled him out for the rest of the game.

The three-time All-Star played for fifteen minutes but failed to score any point. He recorded two rebounds and two assists. After Bradley was sidelined, backup point guard Tyus Jones started instead of him in the second half. He finished the night with six points, one rebound and five assists.

Notably, Beal missed out two straight games due to the same issue and was questionable for tonight’s game. However, he was later given a green light ahead of the tip-off, which proved to be a wrong decision for the side.

Phoenix Suns continue to struggle with a 29-33 record

The Suns have been struggling continuously in the ongoing season. Despite having three big names, Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal, the side has failed to come up with consistent performances.

They have managed to win eight out of their last twenty games. The Suns currently occupy the 11th spot in the Western Conference standings. They are in desperate need to have all their star players healthy to end the remaining regular season favorably.

Talking about Beal, he has been struggling with various injuries since he joined the Suns in 2023. However, when healthy, Beal has been contributing in wins for his side. He has been averaging 17.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game this season.

Coming back to the game, Devin Booker followed Durant with 17 points, five rebounds and eight assists. Nick Richards chipped in 16 points and seven rebounds. On the other hand, Ivica Zubac recorded 35 points with ten rebounds and three assists. Kawhi Leonard and James Harden finished the night with 21 points, each.

The Suns will be up against the Nuggets on Friday, March 7. Beal can be expected to return to the court, depending on the seriousness of his injury.
