Bradley Beal Injury Update: How Long Will Bradley Beal Be Sidelined For?

Beal sustained a hamstring injury during the 107-96 loss against the Lakers.

The Phoenix Suns are having a disastrous season, and it seems that things aren’t going to get better for them anytime soon. After recording a win over the Sacramento Kings, the Suns recorded two back-to-back losses. However, this time their concern doesn’t lie in the defeats.

Their star guard, Bradley Beal, who has been in the headlines time and again this season, has become the latest addition on their injury report.

Beal sustained a hamstring injury during the 107-96 loss against the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday. Playing second season for the Suns, Beal scored four points and two rebounds. He shot 2/6 from the field while 0/2 from the three-point range in his first 15 minutes of play.

However, he suffered a hamstring injury during the second half, which forced him to end his game early. Later, he was sidelined for the 129-89 loss against the Toronto Raptors. While Beal was expected to make his quick return on the court, the latest update by head coach Mike Budenholzer has left the franchise fans concerned.

How Long Is Bradley Beal Expected To Be Sidelined?

Ahead of the Monday night game, Budenholzer shared an update about Beal and said that he will be out of action for at least a week. As per Mike, Budenholzer also underwent an MRI and will be re-evaluated on March 24.

Mike said, “We’ll evaluate him in one week. He had an MRI today, and we’ll be hopeful that this next week goes well, and reevaluate him then.”

He added, “I feel bad for Brad. We’ve just got to find a way to try to keep him healthy. Hopefully, get him right.”

Notably, Beal has missed 21 of the Suns’ 69 games for the Suns this season, which has raised a question on his effectiveness on the team. Beal is currently averaging 17.3 points, 3.6 assists and 3.4 rebounds, which is his lowest average since his tenure with the Wizards.

Now that Beal will be out of action for a week, stars like Kevin Durant and Devin Booker will have more workload. Names like Ryan Dunn and Tyus Jones will also be expected to step up and take responsibility in times of need.

Seeded 11th in the West, the Suns have four home games coming up. They will host the Bulls, Cavaliers, Bucks and the Celtics over the course of next week.
