Borussia Dortmund vs Ulsan Club World Cup Over and Under Odds

Moumita Dutta

Comprehensive Look at the Over/Under Betting Odds for the Borussia Dortmund vs Ulsan Club World Cup.

Borussia Dortmund will be looking to secure their place in the Club World Cup round of 16 when they face already-eliminated Ulsan Hyundai at TQL Stadium. Dortmund are sitting in second place in their group with four points after a thrilling 4-3 win against Mamelodi Sundowns. Meanwhile Ulsan are sitting at the bottom of the table without a point.

Dortmund have won seven of their last eight games and scored 24 goals in that span. However, defensive lapses remain a major concern for them. Ulsan, who are currently sitting in fifth place in the K League 1 table, are winless in their last three games. They’ve also conceded 11 goals in their last five outings.

Total Goals Over/Under Odds

Pick: Over 3.5 at +104

Borussia Dortmund have looked potent in attack during their Club World Cup showing. They drew their first match 0-0 against Fluminense. Then they managed a thrilling narrow 4-3 win against Mamelodi Sundowns in their second match. Whereas, Ulsan Hyundai have struggled defensively. They lost both matches so far.

They’ve also conceded five goals in two defeats (1-0, 4-2). Dortmund have registered three goals or more in seven of their last eight games. Ulsan’s defensive vulnerabilities added to that factor suggest a high-scoring encounter. Despite Ulsan’s occasional counter-attacks, Dortmund’s firepower means over 3.5 goals at +104 looks a savvy, if bold, bet.

Total Shots and Shots on Target Over/Under Odds

Pick: Over 28.5 Shots at +140

Pick: Over 8.5 Shots on Target at +150

Dortmund’s offensive output was 16 shots in their last game against Sundowns and eight of them were on target. This, combined with Ulsan’s willingness to attack, sets the stage for a shootout. Even with Ulsan averaging 13.6 shots per match this season, their shooting accuracy (9%) isn’t a deterrent. A combined tally exceeding 28.5 shots and over 8.5 shots on target at +140 and +150 respectively makes sense given both sides’ playing styles.

Total Corners Over/Under Odds

Pick: Under 8.5 Corners at +122

Dortmund typically win their corner battles – four to two against Sundowns. However, Ulsan claimed nine corners in their opening match before being limited to just four  . Dortmund’s dominance in possession and Ulsan’s cautious approach when outmatched could keep the total corners below 8.5. With corner opportunities limited for Ulsan and Dortmund unlikely to force many from deep, the +122 moneyline on Under 8.5 corners appears appealing.

Total Cards Over/Under Odds

Pick: Over 2.5 Cards at +150

Matches featuring Dortmund often involve physical contests – Felix Nmecha alone committed 1.25 fouls every 90 minutes last season. Ulsan, knowing they’ll need to halt Dortmund’s offense, may resort to risky tackles. Given the tournament’s competitive edge and defensive pressure, expecting at least three yellow cards and taking over 2.5 cards at +150 seems well-founded.
