‘Have Some Faith Next Time,’ Bills QB Josh Allen Takes Cheeky Dig at Fans Who Left the Stadium Before the End of the Ravens Game

The Buffalo Bills delivered a hear-stopping 41-40 victory over the Baltimore Ravens of the 2025-26 NFL season’s Week 1 Sunday Night Football thriller, that’s already a strong candidate for game of the year. The anticipation for this game was over the top as it pitted two of the best quarterbacks. Reigning NFL MVP Josh Allen against two-time MVP Lamar Jackson in a clash of AFC titans.

The Highmark stadium was insanely loud and passionate as Buffalo overcame a 15-point fourth-quarter deficit, showcasing resilience in their final home opener at Highmark Stadium before moving to a new stadium in 2026. Allen’s heroics, with 394 passing yars and four total touchdowns, fueled the comeback, but it was Derrick Henry’s rare fumble that immediately flipped the script, giving Buffalo all the momentum they needed.

Buffalo’s Late Comeback Against the Ravens

With less than a quarter left to play, Ravens star Derrick Henry, who dominated the game throughout, fumbled after a hit, and Buffalo recovered at the Ravens’ 30-yard line. And while the Bills managed to pull out one of the best comebacks we’ve ever seen, many of the Bills’ fans headed home by the end of the 3rd quarter.

The Bills looked like they were completely out of form initially. They played horribly on the defensive side of the field, and just had no answers for the Ravens. With a 15-point deficit going into the fourth quarter, there was very little chances for the Bills to comeback and win it. However, they flipped the script after Allen’s one-yard touchdown run, cutting the lead to 40-38.

After a failed two-point conversion and a Ravens three-and-out, Allen led a 66-yard drive, topped by Matt Prater’s clutch 32-yard field goal as time expired, sealing the improbable win.

Josh Allen’s Playful Jab at Bills Fans After Stunning Ravens Comeback

Josh Allen playfully took a jab at the Bills fans who left the game by the end of the 3rd quarter. “I think there were some people that left the stadium. That’s okay, we’ll be fine, but have some faith next time,” said Allen.

Josh Allen stepped up and showed why he’s the reigning MVP and in the fourth quarter he completed 16-21 pass attempts, had 269 total yards, and 3 total touchdowns. He is the only player in the last 35 seasons with 250+ total yards and 3+ total touchdowns in 4th quarter to win the game.
