Every team needs a quality tight end as we have seen countless times before. A Travis Kelce to a Patrick Mahomes, a Rob Gronkowski to a Tom Brady, a Tony Gonzalez to a Matt Ryan, and countless more. So today, we’ll take a good look at the best available Tight Ends in the 2025 offseason. Let us begin.

Who are some of the best Tight Ends available in the 2025 Offseason?

Juwan Johnson: Juwan Johnson is one of the best Tight Ends available going into the 2025 offseason. With the list of available Tight Ends already short, Johnson will be a hot commodity in the market. In the 2024 season, Johnson had 548 receiving yards (career high), 3 receiving touchdowns, and 50 receptions, while only starting for 5 games. He’s only 28 years of age, and in the past four seasons he racked up 18 touchdowns which ranks eighth amongst Tight Ends.

Zach Ertz: It’s safe to say that Ertz’s best days are behind him. However, he served a critical role in helping the Commanders and Jayden Daniels reach all the way to the NFC Championship round. The veteran, who’s also a former Super Bowl champ, fit well with the Commanders last season and they should resign him as soon as possible. He finished the season with 654 receiving yards, 66 receptions, and 7 touchdowns, which is more than his 2022 and 2023 seasons combined. Ertz is also coming off of a career high in receiving success rate with 63.7.

Tyler Conklin: Conklin has been with the Jets for the past three years. Now that his contract has expired, he will be a free agent this time around. Conklin accumulated 449 receiving yards, 51 receptions, and four receiving touchdowns. While we know that his ceiling is not that high as an NFL player, he can still contribute by giving his team some extra yards that’s needed.

Austin Hooper: Hooper had signed a one-year deal with the Patriots last season. He finished his 2024 campaign with 45 receptions, 476 receiving yards, and 3 receiving touchdown. He was the solid second option for the Patriots last season and was reliable throughout the season. For the team that signs him, it will be a cost effective solution as he comes cheap and can still produce at a decent rate.

Mike Gesicki: Mike Gesicki gave Joe Burrow some desperately help that he needed in 2024. He had previously signed a one-year deal with the Bengals and is now a free agent going into the 2025 offseason. Gesicki had 655 receiving yards, 65 receptions, and 2 receiving touchdowns in 2024. He has the ability to catch difficult passes and stride for a few extra yards which could be helpful for any team he plays for.
