Starting with Auckland City FC from New Zealand as they make their way into the Club World Cup after winning the National League in the 2024 season Auckland City FC are one of the most successful clubs to ever play the sport from the country, and they will be up against Bayern Munich in the first match on 15th June.
Bayern Munich have recently strengthened their defence by signing Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen and are also the winners of the Bundesliga, led by their captain Harry Kane, winning the first trophy of his career. Bayern Munich will be the favourites, but the two other teams from Portugal and Argentina have shown in the past that they can surprise the big teams, with both teams having rich history and a huge global fanbase.
Benfica from Portugal under manager Bruno Lage will give everything they have, especially under the rich experience of Angel Di Maria and Renato Sanchez leading their way. Boca Juniors from Argentina finished last season 6th in the league but have made a few signings in the summer transfer window already.
