Brittney Griner was visibly frustrated with the officiating during Saturday’s Dream vs. Wings clash. The veteran player also confronted the officials regarding some previous calls that were made in the game that didn’t go her way.

Brittney Griner was having an interview with the CBS Network on the sidelines of the court. However, just as the host began with their question, the 34-year-old turned towards her back and saw the officials passing by. She then approached them, stopping the interview in the middle.

Griner was seen confronting a referee with visible anger. She was unhappy with a previous call and also was heard saying, “Be Fu***ing Better.” Despite the use of strong language, the official didn’t award her any further punishment. Brittney Griner finished at two fouls in the Saturday night game.

It was a comparatively better outcome for the veteran center, who was previously fouled out in back-to-back games. Griner joins a growing list of WNBA stars including Caitlin Clark and Stephanie White calling out inconsistent officiating across the league.

Atlanta dominate Wings

The Atlanta Dream managed to put up a respectable performance against the Dallas Wings on Saturday. Wings were a no show again as the Dream took home two points. They are now 2-2 from the four games played so far.

Allisha Gray was the top scorer from the game as she managed to hit 27 points. Brittney Griner scored 15 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Brionna Jones’ 11 points and 15 rebounds also acted as a pivotal contribution to Atlanta Dream’s 83-75 win against the Dallas Wings.

On the other side, Maddy Siegrist scored a team high 12 points. Paige Bueckers who was expected to hit the ground running also managed to put up only 11 points. With a winless 0-4 start, the Dallas Wings’ struggles are deepening and questions are rising about their game plan and player cohesion.
