Barcelona vs. Celta Vigo La Liga – Injury News, Match Preview and Predicted Line-Ups

Abhinav Goel

Seventh-placed Celta Vigo held Barcelona to a 2-2 draw in their earlier meeting this season.

Barcelona host Celta Vigo at the Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys on April 19 for Matchday 32. The Catalan club will have a golden opportunity to tighten their grip on the title race on Saturday. Barca currently sit atop the standings with 70 points, holding a four-point lead over second-placed Real Madrid. A win on Saturday would extend that gap to seven, putting them in a commanding position as the season nears its climax.

Barcelona come into the fixture after their 24-game unbeaten run in 2025 was ended by a 3-1 loss to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League. However, they still advanced to the semi-finals thanks to a 5-3 aggregate victory. Hansi Flick’s side will aim to bounce back and continue their push for the league title here.

On the other hand, seventh-placed Celta Vigo head into this weekend’s clash following a 2-0 home loss to Espanyol, which ended their eight-match unbeaten streak. Celta Vigo held Barcelona to a 2-2 draw in their earlier meeting this season.

Barcelona Injury News

Barcelona did not suffer any fresh injury issues against Dortmund. However, the home side will still be without four players for this match as Marc Casado, Marc Bernal, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, and Alejandro Balde are all sidelined due to injury. Balde was injured against Leganes last weekend.

Midfielder Dani Olmo made hi comeback against Dortmund after recovering from an adductor injury. Olmo’s return adds creativity and experience to Barcelona’s midfield, with Olmo having contributed 7 goals and 2 assists in La Liga this season, along with 1 goal and 1 assist in the Champions League.
