The 2025 Swiss Indoors in Basel is set to be played between 20 October and 26 October. The qualifying competition will take place across two days prior to the main draw – on 18 October and 19 October. This indoor hard court tournament remains one of the most enthralling events towards the end of the tennis calendar. This year marks the 54th edition of the premier men’s competition.

The Swiss Indoors in Basel is an ATP-500 event. Hometown hero Roger Federer is the most successful competitor in Basel, winning the title on 10 different occasions. Every year, matches are played at the St. Jakobshalle Arena, which has a capacity of over 8,000 people. There will be 32 singles entrants in the main draw, and 16 pairs in the men’s doubles category.

Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard is the defending champion at the 2025 Swiss Indoors in Basel. He won last year’s final by defeating Ben Shelton 6-4 7-6(4). Meanwhile, Jamie Murray and John Peers combined to capture the doubles championship over Wesley Koolhof and Nikola Mektic. The final score was 6-3 7-5.

The 23-year-old will be up against in-form hard court sensation Jaume Munar in the Round of 16, after which No. 5 seed Auger-Aliassime could await. If Shelton can overhaul Jakub Mensik or defending champ Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in the semifinals, a potential edge-of-the-seat thriller against Taylor Fritz or Casper Ruud is on the cards.
