The Serie A side, fresh off securing Evan Ferguson on loan from Brighton, are pushing to further bolster their attacking ranks. With Tammy Abraham already sold to Besiktas and Artem Dovbyk also on his way out, Gasperini is looking to shape a new-look forward line to suit his high-intensity system.
Roma have now entered discussions with Wolves over a potential deal for Fabio Silva. The 22-year-old Portuguese striker, once a €40 million signing for the Premier League club, is valued at around €15 million by Wolves, while the player himself is reportedly seeking a €2 million annual salary. Talks are ongoing, but the Giallorossi face competition and must decide whether Silva fits their long-term vision.

Meanwhile, Roma’s pursuit of Claudio Echeverri is in jeopardy. The Argentine midfielder, hailed as one of City’s most exciting young prospects, had emerged as a top target for Gasperini — especially with the Italian tactician keen on injecting flair and youth into his midfield.
However, Manchester City are unwilling to include a purchase option in the loan deal, as Pep Guardiola remains firmly committed to Echeverri’s development. Roma have made it clear they want the possibility to buy, but City are instead favouring a loan move to Girona, their La Liga sister club. Echeverri himself has reportedly rejected that route, expressing a strong preference to join Roma and play in Italy.

As Roma continue to retool under Gasperini, the club is also monitoring Manchester United’s Rasmus Højlund. The Danish forward previously played under Gasperini at Atalanta and could be open to a reunion, although no formal bid has yet been submitted.
Roma’s ambition this summer is clear — they are rebuilding with intent, aiming to add young, versatile attackers who fit Gasperini’s style. Whether they can get both Silva and Echeverri remains to be seen, but the project is firmly in motion.
