Aryna Sabalenka vs. Jil Teichmann Head to Head, Preview, Prediction, and Betting Odds for French Open 2025 Second Round

Devavrat Kulkarni

This round 2 match should be a straight forward contest for Sabalenka

Number one seed Aryna Sabalenka has continued her strong form this season with a convincing demolition job in her first-round encounter against Kamilla Rakhimova. The Russian won serving a first-set bagel and a second-set breadstick, sending her rivals a huge statement.

Sabalenka’s second-round match today will be against Switzerland’s Jil Teichmann, who came through a straight-sets win over Lucrezia Stefanini. The current form of Sabalenka is sure to make this a tough match for Teichmann, but let us have a brief look at what both players have done so far.

Aryna Sabalenka vs Jil Teichmann Preview

The world number one, Sabalenka, has been on a tear recently, winning 3 titles this year and going deep in many tournaments. Prior to the French Open, Sabalenka participated in three clay court tournaments, reaching the final at Stuttgart, winning the title in Madrid, and exiting at the quarter-final stage in Rome.

The world number one has been serving well this year with 126 aces, 77.4% service games won, and 66.4% break points saved. Additionally, she has also done well returning the ball with 43.6% return games won and 48.7% break points converted.

Teichmann, on the other hand, hasn’t had too much success, but she did manage to win a title at the 125K event in Mumbai. As for her clay season, there is nothing much to talk about with multiple early round exits.

While she has fared well with her service, winning 70.5% of her games, it has been her lack of consistency in breaking her opponents’ serve that has caused her the most problems. Of the 60 return games she has played, she has won only 20% of those.

Aryna Sabalenka vs Jil Teichmann Head-to-Head Record

Aryna Sabalenka and Jil Teichmann have played each other only once before in 2022 at the Qatar Open. Sabalenka dominated that match with a comfortable straight-sets victory. Now, the Swiss player has the chance to level the head-to-head, but it will take a monumental effort from her side to do so.

Aryna Sabalenka vs Jil Teichmann French Open 2025 Prediction

Ideally, this is a no-brainer matchup in the second round of the French Open. Sabalenka, with her power and accuracy, has too much firepower for the Swiss, and it is extremely difficult to see Tiechmann being able to mount a serious challenge, let alone come out on top.
