Alex de Minaur vs Alexander Bublik Preview

Alex de Minaur showed resilience in the third set to take the first-round game in straight sets. The Australian ace dropped his best clay-court run this year with 10 wins. He reached the round-of-16 of all four clay court competitions in 2025, including a semifinal in Mote Carlo where he lost to Lorenzo Musetti.

He has some breakthrough performances this year such as beating Daniil Medvedev in Monte Carlo and reaching last-8 in Australian Open. The Australian ace has reached quarterfinals in his last four Grand Slams, including the French Open 2024 where his career–best campaign was ended against the eventual runner-up Alexander Zverev.

Alex de Minaur vs Alexander Bublik French Open 2025 Prediction

Alexander Bublik has a potential of causing an upset over the Australian ace considering his this year’s clay-court performances. However, De Minaur brings value on the clay and his mental stretch and clay confidence makes him a superior player. The world No. 9 has crossed the second round in last six Slam appearances and reached last-16 of all four clay court events this year. Bublik can force this game to final set but De Minaur will find a way to cross the line.

Prediction: Alex de Minaur to win in four sets.
