What does Alex Caruso's NBA Finals record look like? Check it out.
The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference Finals 2025 and earned their first NBA Finals berth in 12 years. In the summit series, they will be up against the Indiana Pacers, the winners of the Eastern Conference Finals. The young Thunder are lopsided favorites to win the series, and if they win, they will lift their second-ever Larry O’Brien Trophy. This is going to be a unique series as none of Thunder players, except one, have played NBA Finals before. That one player is Alex Caruso.
Caruso is not only the only experienced player on the roster, but he is also the oldest. Yes, despite there being over 80 active players in the NBA who are older than him! Playing his first season with the Thunder, Caruso averaged 7.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.5 assists across 54 regular season games, including the three he started. In the playoffs, he dropped 8.8 ppg, 2.3 rpg and 2.5 apg off the bench.
Considering how the 31-year-old is the only current Thunder player to have made an NBA Finals appearance earlier, let’s have a look at his records.
The 31-year-old has been to two NBA Finals so far. His first appearance came in 2020, when he was a part of the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers defeated the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the 2020 playoffs and set a clash with the Houston Rockets in the Conference Semifinals. In the Conference Finals, they defeated the Denver Nuggets 4-1 and booked a berth against the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals.
His second NBA Finals appearance came in 2025, as a part of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

In the 2020 NBA Finals, the Los Angeles Lakers clashed against the Miami Heat. The Lakers defeated the Heat 4-2 and went on to lift their 17th championship title. In 2025, he won the NBA Finals with OKC Thunder which was his team’s first ever NBA championship since relocating from Seattle. It means that Caruso, a two-time NBA Champion, owns a 8-5 win-loss record in the summit series.
