Ademola Lookman has sparked fresh transfer speculation after scrubbing all references to Atalanta from his social media profiles. The dramatic move came just hours after Inter Milan saw their €45 million bid rejected by La Dea on Friday — a clear sign that tensions are rising behind the scenes.

Inter’s offer, reported to be €42 million plus €3 million in bonuses, fell short of Atalanta’s firm €50 million valuation of the Nigerian international. While personal terms between Lookman and Inter — now managed by Christian Chivu — are already agreed, the two clubs remain locked in negotiations with no breakthrough in sight.
Now, Lookman’s social media activity has added fuel to the fire. His Instagram bio simply reads “Nigerian footballer” — with no mention of Atalanta — and nearly every post featuring him in the black-and-blue of the Bergamo side has vanished. Even his profile picture has been removed.

The deleted posts and stripped bio may be subtle, but they represent a strong statement from the reigning African Player of the Year. Lookman has been instrumental for Atalanta since his move from RB Leipzig, helping them win the Europa League last season with a hat-trick in the final.
Despite that, the player appears set on a move to San Siro — and Inter remain equally keen to land him. The question is whether the Nerazzurri will return with an improved bid that meets Atalanta’s demands.
For now, the digital silence speaks volumes.
