Sakkari’s season, by contrast, has been a grind. While plagued by early exits, she found momentum in Linz and Washington with quarterfinal finishes. Another good performance of the Greek came over Jasmine Paolini in Madrid, before falling to Elina Svitolina in the round of 16. Through 34 matches, the Greek has tallied 100 aces, winning 65% on first serve, 41.8% on return, and converting 42.4% of break points.
