LeBron James ‘Has Genuine Curiosity About Dallas’ – Insider Tips Likely Move If Lakers Let NBA Legend Go

LeBron James could leave the Lakers soon amid offseason buzz surrounding his free agency decision in the 2025 market. Reports have been hot regarding his willingness to move on from his chapter with the Lakers. At age 40, a move looks difficult, especially with retirement discussions already surfacing around the Lakers legend.

Despite that, multiple teams have registered their interest in the small forward. LeBron James has shown interest in a few franchises he would consider joining before retiring from basketball. NBA insider Marc Stein suggests, though James is settled in LA, but a move cannot be ruled out.

Stein said, “I believe that James does have some genuine curiosity about playing in Dallas. Bear in mind that he is extremely settled off the floor in Los Angeles. It has been his family’s primary home base for the past seven years, and he is building a new home in Beverly Hills.”

He added, “To play elsewhere at this stage of his life and career could well require a landing spot that can provide a special level of comfort to take him away from all that.”

Dallas Is LeBron James’ Possible Landing

King James parted ways with long-time friend Anthony Davis earlier this year amid changes in Lakers’ roster direction. But a reunion cannot be ruled out given the delicate situation with the Lakers. James has a good relationship with the Dallas Mavericks’ management as well.

Marc Stein said, “The Mavericks would seem to be uniquely suited to offer that with so many people in Dallas he already knows well. From general manager Nico Harrison and coach Jason Kidd to former teammates Anthony Davis and Kyrie Irving.”

Given LeBron James’ desperation to win a fifth ring, the Dallas Mavericks fit well with the plan. The Mavs have grown strong, especially after the introduction of Cooper Flagg. James has reportedly also shown interest in the Knicks. However, his relationship with their front office remains strained, especially with President Leon Rose and vice-president William Wesley.
