NBA legend Dwyane Wade opened up on the never-ending comparisons between him and James Harden. Regarded as two of the best shooting guards in the history of the NBA, Wade and Harden have been subjects of debates where fans have constantly compared them and held one better over the other. However, recently, the three-time champion broke his silence on the matter and shared his blunt opinion on who he thinks is better.

He appeared on the “Time Out” podcast on his network and said that he could have had better stats if the number of championships didn’t matter. Wade said, “It’s going to be a lot of arguments about ‘Oh, he’s better because he scored more points. Oh, he’s better because I like his game better. He’s better because he won more rings’.”

The 13-time NBA All-Star continued, “This conversation never goes anywhere… Winning a ring, it’s a whole different game than being a great player and having stats. I could have more stats if I didn’t care about winning a ring.” Notably, while Wade has team success in the form of three championships and a Finals MVP, Harden has earned more personal accolades in the form of an MVP as well as is on the verge of cracking the top-10 in all-time scoring.”

Wade also talked about the Los Angeles Clippers acquiring Bradley Beal from the market. Wade said that this has been a long time coming since Beal probably wanted to be in the Clippers and play alongside James Harden. He said, “Bradley’s at a place where he wants to be. I know he’s playing with a player in James that he’s probably wanted to play with for a while. I know a lot of players want to play with James because of his playmaking ability. I’ve heard James is a great leader too.”

He continued, “It seems like a place where you get to decide where to go, a place where you want to be. You’re looking at it like I’m the missing piece. To go as a veteran guy and to play with other veterans, it’s probably something needed.” Throughout his career, Beal has played with several excellent players, including John Wall and Russell Westbrook. Now joining forces with Harden would give him a boost as well as more chances to shine on the court.
