Al Nassr Push for David Hancko With €32M Bid

Ritam Dey

Al Nassr have made a bold move in the summer transfer market with a reported €32 million bid for Feyenoord’s standout defender David Hancko. The Saudi Pro League club are keen to secure the Slovakian international, who has been one of the Eredivisie’s most consistent performers in recent seasons. However, Feyenoord are holding firm, valuing their centre-back at closer to €35 million.

Hancko, 27, still has three years remaining on his current deal, having signed an extension that runs until 2028. The Rotterdam club are using that leverage to push for maximum value, despite interest from the player in a lucrative switch to the Middle East.

Hancko’s Rise Makes Him a Hot Commodity

Hancko’s stellar 2024/25 campaign saw him play 47 games across all competitions, including 12 starts in the Champions League as Feyenoord reached the Round of 16. He also featured prominently for Slovakia at UEFA EURO 2024, playing 367 minutes and contributing 6 tackles and 26 ball recoveries.

His form has not only attracted Al Nassr, but has also placed him on the radar of top European clubs such as Everton, Chelsea, Juventus, and Atletico Madrid. However, none of those sides have advanced with formal bids, leaving the door open for Al Nassr to take the lead in the race.

Deal Hinges on Squad Space and Final Offer

While Hancko is reportedly interested in the financial package on offer, Al Nassr must first resolve foreign player quota issues to make space in their squad. The future of several big names, including Cristiano Ronaldo, remains in flux, which could impact the club’s ability to finalize the move.

For now, Feyenoord remain in control, unwilling to compromise below their valuation. Whether Al Nassr can meet their demands—or if another European giant swoops in late—will be key to resolving one of the summer’s most intriguing transfer sagas.
