Meet the Team Behind Carlos Alcaraz’s Success – Coaches, Physios, and More
Carlos Alcaraz, world No. 2 and arguably the most in-form player this season, has already captured five titles in 2025, including his fifth Grand Slam at Roland Garros. The 22-year-old turned pro in 2018 and now holds 21 career singles titles. His Roland Garros final against Jannik Sinner last month was an instant classic, stretching nearly six hours in one of the most epic battles in tennis history. Now, the two face off again in today’s Wimbledon final, this time on grass, with Alcaraz chasing a third consecutive title at SW19 and Sinner stepping into his first-ever Wimbledon final.

Carlos Alcaraz’s coach is former world No. 1 Juan Carlos Ferrero, who began coaching him in 2018 after Alcaraz joined the Ferrero Tennis Academy. A Grand Slam winner himself, Ferrero claimed the 2003 French Open and finished his career in 2012 with 16 ATP singles titles and a 479–262 record.
Since moving into coaching, he’s worked with several promising players, including Alexander Zverev, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, and Alex de Minaur. With 13 coaching titles under his name, Ferrero has played a key role in Alcaraz’s development while steadily building his own legacy off the court.

But a fateful writing job introduced me to the world of sports, and what began as a gig quickly became a passion. I understood those voices aren’t noise; they’re emotions of true sports fans, and now I am one of them, writing with the same energy I once questioned.
