Marcus Rashford’s potential move to Barcelona has taken a fresh turn, with the Manchester United forward reportedly demanding assurances from the Spanish giants before he agrees to the transfer. The 27-year-old is keen on securing his long-term future and is looking for clarity from Barça amid growing interest.

Rashford, who endured a turbulent 2024/25 season and finished the campaign on loan at Aston Villa, is not in new United boss Ruben Amorim’s plans. The manager has reportedly allowed Rashford extra time this summer to secure a move away from Old Trafford. Despite this, the England international returned to Carrington for training earlier this week as no deal has yet materialised.

Manchester United, for their part, are open to letting Rashford leave and have placed a £43 million price tag on the forward. With three years left on his contract, they are pushing for a permanent transfer rather than another loan deal. Amorim’s intention to reshape the squad means offloading players who do not fit his tactical vision is a priority.
