The signing comes after some tension surrounding the negotiation process. Swayman, who was rewarded with a $3.475 million contract through arbitration last season, reportedly demanded a bigger contract. However, both sides ultimately reached an agreement.

He missed the start of the last season due to surgery but still churned up good numbers. He had a record of 30-20-2 in 52 games with a goals-against average of 2.90 and a save percentage of .900 in the 2023 season.
Bobrovsky tops the highest-paid goalie this season with an annual AAV of $10 million. He signed a lucrative seven-year, $70 million deal with the Panthers in 2019. The 2024 Stanley Cup champion Bobrovsky had a 4-3-0 record in 7 games, with a goals-against average of 2.67 and a save percentage of .899 in the final.
