Felix Auger-Aliassime vs. Arthur Rinderknech Preview, Prediction, and Betting Odds for ATP Mallorca Championships 2025 Round of 16

Rudra Dubey

Auger-Aliassime and Rinderknech meet for the first time in a Mallorca opener.

Second seed Felix Auger-Aliassime begins his Mallorca Championships campaign today against Arthur Rinderknech. The Frenchman edged past Damir Dzumhur in three sets in the opening round, while Auger-Aliassime, receiving a bye in the first round, enters fresh after a second-round exit in Halle. Rinderknech’s run in Halle was cut short by Carlos Alcaraz in the quarterfinals. This will be the first meeting between the two, setting the stage for an intriguing clash on grass.

Felix Auger-Aliassime vs. Arthur Rinderknech Preview

Auger-Aliassime started his season on a high, claiming titles in Adelaide and at the Open Occitanie, defeating Sebastian Korda and Aleksandar Kovacevic in the finals. He also reached the final in Dubai and made a semifinal run in Doha. But a mid-season slump followed, marked by early exits and a withdrawal from Rome due to a lower back injury. Since then, he’s regained some form with semifinal runs in Hamburg and Stuttgart.

Most recently, he fell to Karen Khachanov in the Round of 16 in Halle. So far in 2025, the Canadian has fired 372 aces, won 75% of first-serve points, and converted 32% of his 293 break-point chances.

Rinderknech, meanwhile, has had a quieter season. Despite reaching the London quarterfinals recently, most of his notable results have stopped at the Round of 16, as seen in Stuttgart, Geneva, Aix-en-Provence, Montpellier, and Delray Beach. Statistically, he’s served 202 aces and matched Auger-Aliassime’s 75% first-serve win rate, but his 28% conversion on 101 break-point chances reflects limited impact in key moments.

I understood those voices aren’t noise; they’re emotions of true sports fans, and now I am one of them, writing with the same energy I once questioned.
