Rationale and Analysis

Sam Darnold has only thrown the football six times over 30.5 passing attempts this season. However, looking at the 49ers’ passing defense which has taken a huge hit since the last time they faced each other, giving up 235.6 yards per game, we expect Darnold to throw the football more in this game. In their earlier matchup in Week 1, Darnold only attempted 23 passes which resulted in a loss, and you can expect the gameplan to change in this game as they are battling for the top seed at NFC West division.

While the Seahawks have a strong rushing defense that only allows 94.4 yards per game, McCaffrey has exploded offensively in the last two weeks, posting 117 yards against the Colts, and 140 yards against the Bears last week, with a rushing touchdown and 2 receiving TDs.
