Tyrese Hunter
Tyrese Hunter is an American college basketball player who played for Iowa State, Texas, and Memphis. Born in Racine, Wisconsin, Hunter attended St. Catherine’s High School, where he scored 1,589 career points and led his team to a 53-1 record during his last two seasons. He was a two-time Associated Press all-state selection and was rated as a top prospect. As a senior, he averaged 18.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game.
Hunter began his college career at Iowa State in 2021, where he was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Year in 2022. After his freshman season, he transferred to the University of Texas at Austin. At Texas, he averaged 10.3 points, three rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. Hunter declared for the 2023 NBA Draft but later withdrew his name and returned to Texas. He spent two seasons with the Longhorns (2022-2024) before transferring to the University of Memphis for the 2024-2025 season, where he wears jersey number 11.
