Jamir Watkins
Jamir Kamal Watkins, an American professional basketball player, was born on July 6, 2001, in Trenton, New Jersey. He attended Trenton Catholic Academy in Mercer County, New Jersey, where he was rated as a three-star recruit. Watkins began his college basketball career at VCU, playing for the Rams from 2020 to 2023. After his time at VCU, he transferred to Florida State, where he played from 2023 to 2025. In the 2025 NBA draft, Watkins was selected as the 43rd overall pick in the second round by the Utah Jazz. He currently plays as a point guard for the Washington Wizards, wearing jersey number 5. Watkins shoots with his right hand. He is 2.01 meters (6 feet 7 inches) tall and weighs 95 kg (210 pounds). His professional career officially began in 2025.
