Kadary Richmond
Kadary Richmond was born on August 25, 2001, in Brooklyn, New York, USA. He is an American basketball player who is 6’6″ (1.98 m) tall and weighs 205 lbs (93 kg). He played high school basketball at Midwood, South Shore (both in Brooklyn, New York), and Brewster Academy (Wolfeboro, New Hampshire). His position is point guard/shooting guard.
Richmond’s collegiate career spanned three universities. He played for Syracuse from 2020-2021, where he made his first start on December 3, 2020. After his freshman year, he transferred to Seton Hall, playing there from 2021-2024. During his time at Seton Hall, he became a primary starting point guard, averaging 8.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 1.7 steals per game, and earned First Team All-Big East honors in 2024. He also tied a Seton Hall program record with eight steals in a win against No. 5 UConn. From 2024-2025, Richmond played for St. John’s, where he earned Second Team All-Big East honors in 2025 and was an NIT champion in 2024.
In terms of his NBA draft and professional career, Kadary Richmond went undrafted in 2025. He signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Washington Wizards in 2025 but was later waived by the team on October 18, 2025. He is expected to play for the Capital City Go-Go in the G League for the 2025-present season.
