Sharife Cooper
Sharife Cooper was born on June 11, 2001, in Newark, New Jersey, USA. He is 1.85 m tall and weighs 80 kg. He played high school basketball at McEachern in Powder Springs, Georgia. Cooper played college basketball for the Auburn Tigers from 2020 to 2021. He was selected in the second round of the 2021 NBA draft as the 48th overall pick by his hometown team, the Atlanta Hawks. After his stint with the Atlanta Hawks, Cooper played in the G League. Most recently, in September 2025, he signed a two-way contract with the Washington Wizards and their G League affiliate, the Capital City Go-Go, for the upcoming season. He previously played overseas for JDA Dijon Bourgogne in the French Betclic ELITE ProA in 2025. His career highlights include CBA champion (2024), All-NBA G League Second Team (2023), NBA G League Next Up Game (2023), SEC All-Freshman Team (2021), McDonald’s All-American (2020), and USA Today All-USA Player of the Year (2019) and Mr. Georgia Basketball (2019).
