Jackson did not return, and by Tuesday, The Baltimore Sun’s Brian Wacker reported the former MVP is “likely” to miss at least the Week 5 clash with the Houston Texans, and possibly two to three weeks in total. The setback comes as Baltimore sits at 1-3, compounding a rocky start.

Jackson’s Impact and Ravens’ Outlook

Baltimore’s offensive centerpiece had been producing at a high clip through September, amassing over 1,000 all-purpose yards and 10 touchdowns in the season’s first month. Who Will Replace Lamar Jackson As Ravens QB1?

Veteran Cooper Rush is expected to step in as starter. Rush replaced Jackson against the Chiefs, completing 9 of 13 passes for 52 yards in relief. Signed to a two-year deal in March 2025, the 31-year-old spent seven seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, largely as Dak Prescott’s backup, while compiling a 9–5 record as a starter.
