Kevin Durant is not usually outspoken about football, but the Houston Rockers forward made an exception this week. Appearing on Up & Adams Tuesday, the two-time NBA champion gave his thoughts on Joe Burrow’s recent injury and shared admiration for the Buffalo Bills’ red-hot start to the season.

The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback, Joe Burrow, will undergo surgery on a toe injury that sidelines him for at least three months. Durant did not hide his frustration about the setback, saying his friendship with Joe Burrow surpasses any professional rivalries.

“I don’t care at all about any rivalries or any divisional opponent, like, if I build a friendship with somebody that exceeds all of that stuff. So I want Joe Burrow to win every game, because that’s my brother,” Kevin Durant said.

The Rockets’ superstar also expressed optimism about Burrow’s mindset. “I’m wishing for a well checkup in a couple of weeks, but knowing his mentality and how hard he works and how much he cares, he’s going to bounce back.”

Kevin Durant Praises Buffalo Bills Unbeaten Start

Durant’s NFL talk also included praise for the Buffalo Bills, who remain the only unbeaten AFC team at 4-0. Led by quarterback Josh Allen, the Bills have survived close contests against the Baltimore Ravens while overpowering divisional rivals in the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins, as well as the New Orleans Saints.

“I thought they’d lose a game by now, but they look like they took that next step into trying to become that dominant team,” Kevin Durant said. “It was good to see them step up and go to that next level.”

The Bills face the New England Patriots next on Sunday night. Kickoff is set for 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC, with Buffalo set to showcase their “Cold Front” Rivalries uniforms.

Josh Allen also stands on the brink of history. He shares the record with Cam Newton for most games with both a passing and rushing touchdown at 44, and could move ahead with another strong outing.
