It took only hours for Angel Reese’s first signature sneaker with Reebok to sell out. The Angel Reese 1 officially dropped Thursday, and the “Diamond Dust” and “Mebounds” colorways disappeared almost immediately from Reebok’s official site.

Just four pairs of the “Receipts Ready” edition remained. Even those were limited to a men’s size 4/women’s 5.5, leaving most fans empty-handed. The fast sellout showed the excitement surrounding Reese’s first sneaker and Reebok’s return to the basketball market.

Angel Reese signed her first deal with Reebok in 2023 while staring at LSU. The company had just brought in NBA legends Shaquille O’Neal and Allen Iverson to revive its basketball division.

After finishing her rookie season with the Chicago Sky in 2024, Angel Reese extended her partnership with Reebok, securing her own signature shoe in the process.

For years, signature sneakers were rare in the WNBA. Brands often hesitated to invest in women’s basketball at the same level as the men’s game. But the tide has shifted recently. Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu, A’ja Wilson, and Jacy Sheldon already have their own dedicated lines, while Caitlin Clark’s Nike debut is scheduled for 2026.

The early demand for the Angel Reese 1 shows how quickly the market has caught up. Reebok’s investment in the Chicago Sky forward has already proven to be a success.

To mark the release, the brand also unveiled a campaign video titled Fuel, narrated by Angel Reese herself. The visual reflects on her path as both a rising basketball star and cultural figure. The two-time WNBA All-Star speaks directly about overcoming criticism while embracing her role.

“Noise. Headlines. Hashtags. They talk like they know me, like they built me, but I board anyway,” Reese says in the video.
